A SERIES of popular exercise classes in Bromsgrove and Rubery are helping mums on their journey towards healthier minds and bodies.

OneFitMama, which offer classes across the UK, combines exercise with a playgroup style setting to help mums get fit, whilst overcoming postnatal depression and anxiety.

Founded in 2010 by fitness instructor and mum-of-three Sophie Cooper, the sessions have expanded to include antenatal classes, toddler classes and specialist pelvic floor classes.

Louise, who is a OneFitMama instructor in Bromsgrove, discovered the group when her son was a baby.

She said: “I was desperate to find something to go to where I could feel like me again without having to leave my baby with someone else.

“Fitness has always been a huge part of my life so being able to exercise again was so important.

“I had a fitness background and knew I’d like to get involved with OneFitMama so when we were planning our second baby I contacted Sophie about becoming an instructor.

“I started teaching the class when I was pregnant with my daughter, three years later and OneFitMama has gone from strength to strength.”

OneFitMama mother and baby classes are held at 10am on Tuesdays at Catshill Village Hall, at 1.15pm on Fridays at David Lloyd Bromsgrove and at 1pm on Saturdays at Nuffield Gym in Rubery.

Mother and toddler classes are held at 11am at Catshill Village Hall.

OneFitBump antenatal finesses classes are held at 7pm on Thursdays at Alvechurch Baptist Church Hall and at 2pm on Saturdays at Nuffield Gym in Rubery.
